Founded in the 1940s by soccer enthusiasts, Ishmael Lesolang, Strike Makgatha and Johnny Kubheka, the Moroka Swallows has been a prominent name and soccer team in South Africa for over 60 years.  

     

 To commemorate this great team, who have contributed so much to South African soccer, marketing media giants, Ogilvy and Onside Sports Marketing, confronted Fuji Image Studios to create the ultimate sports team portrait. Ogilvy and Onside wanted to give the Moroka Swallows a once in a life time opportunity and gift for wishing them well for the sporting year ahead. There was no better gift than giving the team the opportunity to experience the Fuji Image Studios Photo Shoot, which looked to benefit and create ever lasting memories for each and every team member from on the field to in the board room! 

Earlier this year, Fuji Image Studios were proud hosts to first offer their new “Dynamic Sports Team Portraits” services to Cape Town’s Under 10s Rugby Tournament 2009 winners, the False Bay F.C.The False Bay team got the opportunity to be part of the ultimate team portrait experience at Fuji Image Studios, which had beyond excellent results for the final portraits and a satisfied response from the team.  

 

 The shoot for the Moroka Swallows took place at our new Johannesburg Studios in Midrand. Both the soccer players and management team were present, and took part in the shoot for the ultimate sports team portrait. Like the False Bay F.C, the Moroka Swallows got to let loose, have fun, play around, and get interactive during the shoot. “Fuji Image Studios Dynamic Team Portraits” aim to always show the unique individuals behind the team, and the real faces behind the name. The final team portrait and all the images taken in the studio will also be used in the national PSL year book.
