The Studio experience

We have broken the experience down into 5 steps so that you understand the process that little bit better.

Stage 1

We discuss what memories you want to have captured   for your digital portrait whether it’s the immediate family, extended family, kids with your pets or playing instruments or working at a hobby, or a mother and baby portrait. We really encourage you to bring props that show who you are, whether it’s a surfboard, your gardening hat, a laptop or your pet tortoise! We help make your job easier by talking with you before the shoot about clothing choices, location, time of day, and how to best prepare for the photo session.  A time is agreed upon that is convenient for your shoot

Stage 2

You arrive at our fully equipped photographic studio and the photographer will chat to your about any of your concerns and put you at ease. Depending on the type of photographs you are looking for you may have a quiet session where we can capture the unspoken conversations between a mother and her baby or a high energy, action packed shoot with the kids jumping around to their favourite music! Our photographers have experience in how to use mood, setting, lighting and fun to capture unique personalities on film. Anybody can take a picture. A professional creates a portrait.

Stage 3

We select 35 of the best raw images from your shoot. A professional graphic designer spends 6-8hrs digitially processing the images. Once the images have been digitially cleaned, we skilfully apply creative colours, enhancements and crops to the images to create a breathtaking photographic show of your family.

Stage 4

You will attend a privately screened viewing of selected post produced images from your shoot and you get to decide which pictures best capture the magic. Together with our consultant you can choose from an array of products how you would like your digital portrait displayed. Perhaps you might choose just your favourite shot and have one enormous print on canvas for the living room. Or, you may decide that a set of 3 portraits each capturing a different side of your children will look best in your home if set in a modern aluminium and glass frame.

Stage 5

It’s time to view your framed portrait that captures the love, affection and expressions that make each family member special. We understand if you feel a little overwhelmed when you first see your artwork! When we are sure you are happy with the results you can take your picture home to enjoy.
